Water and basic sanitation

Habitat focuses efforts on reducing the deficit gap in access to water and adequate sanitation, based on participatory processes to define and provide technical and social solutions at the household and community level for families.

An adequate water and / or sanitation system improves the conditions of families with the reduction of infectious diseases, which is why it has a close relationship with Healthy Housing. There is also an impact on reducing the contamination of the aquifers and even improving the family finances by reducing the time spent mainly by women in hauling to have the liquid.

Habitat has installed capacity for the design of housing projects that include adequate water management and handling. Each home that HFH implements carries the basic aspects that adequate basic sanitation requires, including the training processes and the essential aspects of its use for sanitation care.
