The event took place at the Honduran Arab Club and brought together approximately 30 women from different San Pedro Sula civil society organizations, who enthusiastically joined this cause that seeks to empower women through the construction of decent housing for families in vulnerable situations.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first launch of Women Build in San Pedro Sula, after having previously been implemented in Santa Rosa de Cop\u00e1n and Tegucigalpa. The project, part of a global movement by Habitat for Humanity, an organization present in more than 70 countries around the world, encourages the active participation of women in advocacy and fundraising for housing construction and rehabilitation, particularly benefiting families headed by women.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3482 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/habitathn.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/3-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" srcset=\"https:\/\/habitathn.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/3-1.png 1920w, https:\/\/habitathn.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/3-1-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/habitathn.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/3-1-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/habitathn.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/3-1-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/habitathn.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/3-1-1536x864.png 1536w, https:\/\/habitathn.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/3-1-400x225.png 400w, https:\/\/habitathn.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/3-1-600x338.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>During the event, participants shared experiences and highlighted the importance of strengthening women&#8217;s role in society, not only in terms of community leadership, but also in the construction of sustainable housing solutions. In addition, a presentation was given on the impact of Women Build in some communities across the country, showcasing success stories of families who have transformed their environment through volunteering and construction.<\/p>\n<p>Martha Guill\u00e9n, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Honduras, highlighted the importance of women&#8217;s role in transforming communities and supporting each other. &#8220;When women come together, they can generate significant changes in the lives of other women and their families.
