Through the signing of a collaboration agreement, Banco del Pa\u00eds (Banpa\u00eds) joined Habitat for Humanity Honduras’ strategy to replace dirt floors with concrete floors in the homes of vulnerable families. This initiative seeks to improve the health and quality of life of Honduran families, as well as contribute to reducing the country’s housing deficit, which is currently estimated at 61.8%, equivalent to 1,617,570 homes.<\/p>\n

This agreement will provide support to at least 30 families in the southern part of the country and represents a key step to inspire and mobilize resources from other companies interested in joining this cause. In addition to the financial support, Banpa\u00eds becomes a strategic ally of Habitat Honduras by committing to the active participation of its employees in the construction brigades organized by this organization, thus strengthening both the impact of Habitat’s mission and its own commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).<\/p>\n

For its part, Habitat Honduras is committed to promoting the complementarity of the project to improve its coverage and impact. This includes the management of alliances with local governments, the definition of criteria for the selection of beneficiary families -prioritizing households headed by women, in order to reduce the inequality gap-, and the implementation of accountability processes through technical and financial reports.<\/p>\n

The signing of the agreement was attended by Jos\u00e9 Enrique Franco, president of the Board of Directors of Habitat Honduras; Martha Guill\u00e9n, executive director of the organization; and Mar\u00eda del Rosario Selman-Housein, executive president of Banpa\u00eds, who leads the volunteer program \u201cWomen Build, women transforming lives\u201d in San Pedro Sula. This alliance represents a concrete action to transform realities and build a more just, supportive and dignified future for Honduran families.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
