Santa Cruz de Yojoa. This Thursday, June 13, Habitat for Humanity Honduras carried out the dedication and delivery of a new home to the family of Williams Cardenas and Elizabeth Medina, in the municipality of Santa Cruz de Yojoa, Cortes.
The house delivered consists of a living room, dining room, bathroom, two bedrooms and access to basic services such as sewage, electricity and potable water. From now on, the benefited family becomes owners of the property, an achievement that represents a significant change in their quality of life.
Williams Cardenas, father of the family, expressed his deep gratitude during the ceremony: “I have nothing but words of thanks to Habitat Honduras for helping my family and me to fulfill a dream of many years.
Elizabeth Medina, his wife, also shared her excitement at the realization of the dream of having a safe and healthy home for her children, Aitiana, 5, and Dereck, 1: “I am happy to know that now I will have a safe home where my children can grow and develop.

The delivery of this home is part of the efforts of Habitat for Humanity Honduras to promote access to adequate housing solutions for Honduran families.
Cesar Gonzalez, regional manager of Habitat Honduras in Santa Cruz de Yojoa, highlighted the importance of this type of intervention: “We are pleased to have done our bit so that one more family can have a home of their own, safe and adequate to prosper as they deserve”.
Habitat Honduras thus reaffirms its commitment to the mission of building a world where every person has an adequate place to live. In addition to providing a physical structure, housing represents a space of stability, security and new opportunities for those who live there.
